Deep and intense dry red wine - dark red color, with rich fruit flavors and lovely vanilla highlights. Aged on French oak.

The Ruby Cabernet variety was carefully bred by the renowned grape researcher Dr. Harold Olmo in 1936 to be a heat-resistant wine grape. Its parents are the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan, combining their classic flavor profiles with deep color and acidity. It can grow remarkable fine wine in our intense summer heat and sun - developing exquisite color, acidity, and rich flavor and bouquet - even when other grape varieties fall flat.

Typically sold vintaged and often with vineyard designation.
